standard and custom pressure sensors. The company designs and manufactures low-pressure
and harsh-environment sensors based on micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), a
silicon technology at the heart of advanced sensor devices.
SMI customers range from automotive companies, where pressure sensors are used for
remote tire pressure monitoring, engine control and vapor pressure, to medical equipment
manufacturers requiring low pressure precision sensors for respiration, anesthesia
