Crank Case Pressure

During ideal operation the pressure in the crankcase should remain low. However, due to leaks in the piston rings during combustion or poor compression, pressure can begin to build up in the crankcase potentially causing damage to the engine. A crankcase pressure sensor is utilized to measure this low pressure and ensure it remains in the proper operating range.
